Prime Minister’s Community Business Partnership meets with Be Collective
On 19 July 2016, Partnership member Angela Perry met with members of the Be Collective team to learn about their digital infrastructure for purpose-driven social change. Be Collective is software to support and connect community groups, individuals, enterprise, universities, charities, local governments and causes.
Ms Perry was particularly interested in the concept of Be Collective’s Social Record, which provides detail of the ‘soft skills’ learnt through volunteer placements facilitated by the software.
The Be Collective team is currently working with local governments in New Zealand to roll out this platform, particularly targeting youth to assist with their future employment prospects.
The Partnership engages with a range of stakeholders, and takes a strong interest in innovative platforms that encourage giving and volunteering.
