Community and Philanthropy Partnerships Week
The second Community and Philanthropy Partnerships Week will be held this week, 5-11 December 2016 with the theme ‘the power of partnerships’.
The Week is a chance for grassroots community groups and their philanthropic partners to showcase the great work they do to build strong and vibrant Australian communities. The Australian Government has committed $650,000 over three years to support the Week to promote philanthropy and showcase collaborative partnerships across business, community, local government and other organisations.
19 community groups have received grants of up to $10,000 this year to help celebrate their partnerships. The events are an opportunity to share knowledge and best practice, and to strengthen or develop new relationships and partnerships.
Events are being held this week in the cities and regions right across Australia and include documentary and film launches and case studies highlighting the impact of collaborative partnerships. Details are available on the Community and Philanthropy Partnerships Week event register.
The Week is an initiative supported by the Prime Minister’s Community Business Partnership and is delivered by Philanthropy Australia in partnership with the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal.
