Community and Philanthropy Partnerships Week
The third Community and Philanthropy Partnerships Week is being held this week, 20-26 November 2017, with the theme ‘building stronger communities together’.
This is a chance for grassroots community groups and their philanthropic partners to showcase and promote the great things they have achieved together in cities and regions across Australia. It is also an opportunity to share knowledge and best practice, and to strengthen or develop new relationships and partnerships.
In announcing this year’s week, Minister for Social Services, Christian Porter said “The Australian Government is proud to support Community and Philanthropy Partnerships Week with a $650,000 investment to promote and encourage philanthropy at the grassroots. As part of this funding, 20 community groups will share $160,000 to produce films, books, events and launches to showcase their partnerships in their local community”.
Events are being held this week in the cities and regions right across Australia.
The Week is an initiative supported by the Prime Minister’s Community Business Partnership and is delivered by Philanthropy Australia in partnership with the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal.
