Minister announces Community and Philanthropy Partnerships Week grant recipients

The Minister for Social Services, the Hon Christian Porter MP, recently announced the 24 community organisations that will share $160,000 in grants to support activities that showcase their philanthropic partnerships during the inaugural Community and Philanthropy Partnerships Week, 7-13 December 2015.

Community and Philanthropy Partnerships Week, an initiative supported by the Prime Minister’s Community Business Partnership, is delivered by Philanthropy Australia in partnership with the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal. The Australian Government has committed $650,000 over three years to support the Week to promote philanthropy and showcase collaborative partnerships across business, community, local government and other organisations. The theme of this year’s celebration is achieving more together.
